Our Gutter Cleaning Services
All of our gutter cleaning services are carried out from a ladder, as it is our preference to clear and clean gutters the old fashioned way, by hand.
Many contractors now carry out gutter clearing using vacuum equipment. However gutter cleaning by hand ensures all debris are removed, without the possibility of causing damage to the guttering, by prodding around with a vac nozzle.
At the moment we are only carrying out maintenance & gutter cleaning to properties up to two storeys in height.
Gutter Cleaning by Hand or Vacuum System
While clearing gutters with the use of a vacuum system and camera attachment may allow to some extent the user to check for any issues/repairs, you will normally pay a considerable additional cost for this service. In my experience there is no better way to identify any issues when you are eye level with the guttering. Furthermore we can provide photos/video footage as necessary at no extra cost.
When cleaning gutters you will often find blockages where the gutter outlet enters the bend into the rainwater pipe. When at gutter level, these can in most cases be easily cleared by hand. Clearing gutters by vacuum system from ground level will not not allow for the dismantling and refitting of this section and will unlikely be able to clear any blockages at this critical area.
Like most things there is possibly still a place for a gutter vacuum when cleaning gutters, as there will be occasions when hard to reach areas. For example, above conservatories may be difficult to clear without erecting an access system such as scaffolding. In a lot of cases however this is still possible by hand, by using telescopic gutter cleaning tools as seen below.
What`s Included in our Gutter Cleaning Services
Gutter clearing
All debris completely removed from guttering. Any minor choked outlets cleared, to allow water to flow. Water flow test on completion. Complete gutter inspection for signs of any potential issues
Gutter cleaning
Exterior of guttering cleaned, using non abrasive chemicals to remove all algae or mildew and leave looking clean and fresh.
Fascia/ soffit cleaning
Fascia and soffit cleaned, using non abrasive chemicals to remove all algae or mildew and leave looking clean and fresh.
Gutter joint repairs
Cast iron gutter joints, cleaned out, prepared, new putty applied with a new bolt. Upvc guttering, joints, repaired or renewed as necessary.
